i loved this one...
it really opened my eyes and heart
especially about how 'active' waiting on the Lord is truly required to be.

i'd forgotten that...

i've been sitting in a particular 'valley' for a long time...
i've been given direct promises from our Abba and i can honestly say, that after so many years have passed without result, that i have virtually lost hope of ever seeing them come to fruition.

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."
*Proverbs 13:12*
(NIV)

but i've got to somehow keep waiting in expectation...

"In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." (Psalm 5:3 NIV).

i think waiting on the Lord is so difficult because our vision is so limited, we cannot see 5 years from now-we cannot see 5 minutes from now...and the 'valley floor' can stretch on and on for miles.

thank you, phil and thank You, Abba, for this precious reminder...
