7-14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Today is July 14, or as we mark it on our calendars, 7/14. This date has led a number of folks to the reminder of 2 Chronicles 7:14. So all over the world, folks are hearing the call of the LORD and realizing that we individually and with the leadership in countries, our churches, and our homes need to humble ourselves and pray, seeking the Lord and His way.

So I ask you to join me in this effort and share this call with those you know in this work of a spiritual awakening and healing from the hand of the LORD.

I was, just about an hour before reading this post, skimming through some notes from a previous bible study of mine…What’s interesting and most peculiar is that my attention was drawn to the reference i’ld made to 2chronicles 7:14 and what I’ld written down….’In transforming, God will respond to…humility, holiness, repentance, prayer, worship, compassion, faith…’If my people will, I will heal their land’…’Cannot please God in the absense of faith’…’If we make his kingdom purposes our priority’…’When he comes he will arrive with healing in his wings’…
    Mankind has once again become proud. To sure of our own strength and ability to support ourselves. Much of our materialistic society has become our focus, our idols, our gods, we have put before our one and only true God. His kingdom purposes are no longer our priority. We are more absessed with gaining riches and security here on earth, than with laying up riches in Heaven.

  2. Thanks Phil! Thats great. Yeah, prayer is the way to go! “your heavenly father knows what things you have need of before you even ask”, so God’s just waiting for us to ask Him… then He will heal our land. Hmm, it really challenges you when you realise the people to blame for the world the way it is right now- is us! Christians need to rise up and do what they’re called to do, by so doing we’re being a witness for Christ, and spreading His love … which is really the best! God bless you all!
