Today
Last Thursday, our church family was shocked at the untimely death of a dear friend and houseparent for a children’s home. She was in her early 50’s! I haven’t taken time to share my heart or my meditations around the Lord’s Prayer since then — not enough energy with several other emergencies and not a lot to say. One overwhelming conviction, however, has rule my heart: “Give us today!”
I can’t even get to the “daily” part. I am stuck on the, “Give us today!”
Not only is today all we have, it’s all we can handle. So I encourage you to pray the Lord’s prayer with me focusing upon this one simple word that should re-route our priorities and refocus our energies on what is most important:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.For or yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.”
O God, please give me the focus and the motivation to live today to its fullest!
God, we give you praise and glory for all you have done for us. Give us this day, what ever you will for us. And we thank you for this precious moment, this life and all the love you pour out in us. Please help and encourage us all to be the vessle outpouring all that you continuously pour in. Lord I ask for limitless grace, mercy and love from your living stream of life, love and hope to pour into Phils heart and soul and that he be lifted up and renewed, restored, and be filled abundantly more than he gives to others with greater needs than his own. Dear Lord I pray he feels your precious touch and knows with a suprnatural spiritual decernment that we are standing with him. Lord fill him with your peace and joyful encouragement. Through our Christ Jesus I pray…Amen
Phil, you do so much for all of us. You fill our lives, our hearts, with a greater understanding of our Lords wisdom, knowledge and love. Thank you, and thank YOU Lord for Phil…

Lord I pray from Canada for Pastor Phil, his flock and the children in this home to be covered with the cloak of the Good Shepherd at this moment in their lives. Our Father in heaven’s time is eternal and His deep breath of life heaves in us with Pastor Phil with each inhale of the Holy Spirit.Just as Pastor Phil’s steadfast daily ministry thought, and prayer has spoken the affirmations of God is forevermore through the word/to each of us individually by the Spirit to distant places on earth. You Lord give solid ground to Pastor Phil presently in peaceful surrender of prayer in each breath of glorious shining surrender, brighter than the sun or anything we know here .For in Revelation it says:”God’s home is now with His people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. 4He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.
5Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new”…..Amen

Phil. God sends so many challenges to see how we handle them .
You are doing what God says to do that is to share your feelings with others .We do not know the answers as to why things happen .You are human just like us so just because you are a pastor does not mean you can not hurt or be tired from all the things that happen so I am happy you are sharing , I pray it is helping to know every one prays for you and the children home. God has his reason but he will provide for the children once again.
Keep strong . I pray you will find peace and rest so you can continue to help others as you do.
You are a very caring person
God’s blessings Betty
