On Tiptoe

with 3 comments

In my Heartlight.org article, On Tiptoe with Angels, I talk about the significance of angels in Luke’s stories about Jesus’ birth.

Luke seems to be wanting us see the angels in the stories related to Jesus’ birth to …

  • … say this is important, pay attention!
  • … help us realize God is at work in His great work of deliverance!
  • … amaze us with His love!

What do you most need to see in the story of Jesus’ birth?

Why?

What do all the appearances of angels in the story of Jesus birth mean to you?

I’d love to hear from you!

  1. I am encouraged by the record of Angels celebrating the birth of Jesus. Its the third time they are involved in Jesus live. Angles told Mary she was pregnant, told Joseph to marry her, they ministered to Jesus in the wilderness during temptation, in the garden, they ministered to him, an angel rolled away the stone from the tomb, and when he left this earth physically, angels said he would return in the same way. From the time he was on earth, until he left, Angels were there with him. I take comfort and am sure they are just as interested in my life when I choose Jesus and place my trust in Him. Yep, Angels celebrate everytime one of us does just that! peace on earth, philip sims

  3. Can you explain to me about the wise men? Everything I see about them is Three Wise Men looking for Jesus. What time was it they were lookingfor him and any information you can give me.
    Thank you,
    Sarah
