I feel a deep pain every time I see a Christian trying to "live the Christian Life", as if we were separate from Him. There is never the slightest separation between Christ and any believer. That's the mystery of the Complete Salvation He accomplished for us.

Our only real sin is to PERCEIVE ourselves separate from Him and thereby independent of him, as satan did when he said "I will be LIKE God". Our righteousness and our obedience to Him, is to BELIEVE HIM Who is inside us, living our lives. Then we enter into the Rest, promised in Hebrews 3 and 4. Christ as our Peace becomes dominant in us, and BOY! does that ever attract people worn out from trying to "live the christian life" - as if they could!

Galatians 2:20 says this only looks like me; it's really Christ within me, living my life. No one else seeing me can tell that, unless they have "eyes that see the unseen", but I myself KNOW that what's coming out of me IS NOT ME!!! Christ Himself in Person is living through me in the same manner as He did through that one perfect man, Jesus. HE ALONE can live and does live the Christian Life - from within me, and you, and you....

Used to be a Contemporary Christian band named Kings X that acutally made it pretty big in the secular market as well. Loved that band. Never knew what happened to them. Anyway....I always thought there name came from being The Kings's (God's) X or God's signature as in the concept of how one who could not sign their own name used to leave their mark which was usually an "x."

this is so true. God rocked my whole world a couple of years ago with teaching over 2 verses. Johshua 7:22 (Achan had hid forbiden things in his tent), and James 5:16 (confess to one another).

hidden things destroy us from the inside out. God called for something I had pushed under the rug and tried to forget about, but he did not forget. And the only way for me to deal with it and find healing and forgiveness was through confession and accountability. I can't tell you how much it frustrates me when people say that your sin is just between you and God. It is only God's forgiveness I need, but if we keep secret sins and never confess them to another soul the enemy keeps us from finding the true freedom Christ died for. And although the healing may come eventually. Our brokeness is prolonged and destructive as long as the sin is kept in dark places.

I had never really thought about all the times I have called King's X. We used to call it Base. Your article brought to light some of the areas that I hide. I try not to gossip, but find myself doing it alot nevertheless. I also find myself telling those "LITTLE WHITE LIES"...and sometimes they grow into big lies. I know I am guilty of these things, and yet I seem to fall into that trap often. When I do, I pray for forgiveness. I have noticed that now that I am aware of the these things, I am not doing them as much. Also, the internet is a trouble area for me. I like to go to chat rooms and talk with other people. Have found some not so nice people in these rooms. I usually put them on the ignore list, but still go into these rooms. Do find some decent people every once in a while, but not too often. I can concede in these areas to God by not going to those rooms, by not gossiping, and not telling those little lies. I can do this by praying when temptation comes along. God will help me through anything. He has stood by me all these years, and still loves me when I make mistakes. He is there to pick me up when I fall. He sent His only Son to die for me. Nothing I can do is worth that, except to love Him with my whole heart and soul. And I can do that. Just have to remove these "hidden areas", that are not hidden to Him. He sees all...He knows all.
Thank you for your article today. It really made me think about the things I was trying to "hide".

I really enjoy reading yur blogs and agree with what you are saying in them. One thing brought to mind in todays lesson was, pertaining to the King's X. It made me think of all the people who write Xmas instead of Christmas. It is as though folks have deleted Christ from what Christmas is all about. He is the reason for the season and things have just become so commercialised that hardly any one even thinks about the main reason we celebrate this glorious day.
