Phil,

You have brought out a most important point - we can silently serve Christ and never achieve the greatest goal - winning souls for Him. In "Showing God's Love," Brother Alan Smith reveals the other side of the coin - just as the young women in your article were preaching a sermon to others by their loving, caring actions we will also teach by doing. The important thing is THERE MUST BE BOTH! By remaining silent and never teaching people God's will they will assume they need do nothing - when all that is necessary is to reach for Christ through His teachings - by believing He is God's Son, repenting of our sins, washing them away in baptism and living for Him until death.

The Bible is so available these days - and so misquoted! I was listening to an episode of "Lost" last night and one of the characters who was supposed to be a preacher told a woman "when John baptized Jesus and saw the dove come out of heaven and light on His shoulder he realized he had washed this man's sin away." To think that Jesus could have sin! If He had He could NOT have been our sacrifice!

We MUST teach God's Word as never before so we won't be confronted on judgement day by those we see day after day who never came to know Christ because WE didn't tell them. Just as Christ told the disciples they should know God because they had been with Him, people should come to know Christ because we are a refection of Him - and He taught God's Word ALL day EVERY day, not just by action but by words.
