Growth as a Christian, always trying to reach to perfection, to be more and more Christ ike - these are the things that should have motion and change. If I am not growing and changing to be more like Him, I am dying. To stand firm and not allow society or changing morals to affect my values and ideals - these are the things that need to be centered and unchangeable. I remember a quote I saw once while working at an alchoholic and drug rehab center - "For many years I thought I could - change the world from bad to good - but now I know my job to be - to keep the world from changing me." Christ said to be friends with the world is to be enemies with Him. I want to REMAIN friends with Christ! You are so right - there are some things that should never change - yet some that should.
