On Wednesday, July 30, The House apologized for slavery and Jim Crow -- Google Washington Post article for details.

Point? Changes socially and politically are hard and slow, but Jesus has formed a community of "subversive goodness" that is called to create a new reality now in it's community that gathers to honor and celebrate him. But to celebrate him, that community must seek to display in it's relationships the character and compassion of its hero, no matter how against the cultural currents it seems to flow. Colossians and Philemon demonstrate this in real life with real people.
