I totally agree that this act of selflessness, compassion & kindness is a model for us all who name the name of Jesus.. He wants us to \"prefer others more than ourselves\" I wish I could say that I always respond in the way Sara Tucholsky\’s opponents did, BUT thru GOD\’s grace, I are learning to stop, think, then act… the way Jesus would. and for that, we all can be thankful..

I am at work and cried through her rounding the bases carried by the opposing team….I was a softball player and identified with her to the point of tears for joy…great inspiration for others to look beyond yourself and do the extraordinary.

This is an example of so much more, than mere sportsmanship. It’s testimony of God at work in the world…The good deed done by these girls, truly a selfless act of compassion, is the sort of thing all of us should be able to find ourselves capable of…But are we??? I’m not sure but after witnessing it, I’m pretty sure that when our chance to act comes, God will expect us to step up to the plate and honor him by our own self sacrifice…
