I FULLY embrace ALL the "one anothers" in God's Word.....yet, like you,Cynthia, INSIDE the church "building" we meet up with each other like we love each other dearly! Yet, to flesh out mutual relationships outside the church seems like one big confusing ordeal! We hear about and participate in various serving opportunities, as we desire to honor Christ, but we have difficulty learning how to share our possessions, live together, nurture one another~~~~but, we are good at "cherry picking" who we will help and reach out to! This is what saddens me the most in the Body of Believers. While I am not the least guiltless, I've come to look closer around me to see who really is being left out! Just read the lastest Mission Frontiers magazine and reasons are being given as to why The Church is losing so many.

Great topic. I am one who rarely interacts with people from church outside of church. While I am there, I help, I say hello, give a hug, listen briefly to some problems, and occasionally try to introduce myself to someone new. How many of you feel that is the wrong way. I do! But I am not willing to change it because in my culture, people do not live together, share all of their possessions, carry each other's daily burdens, etc. the way it is talked about in the early church. I only pray that God is forgiving of me for this.

I'm fairly certain that ALL of us, at times, fall short of measuring up to how God expects us to treat one another. I am certain that He didn't expect us to just treat other members of our congregation with love and compassion. At the least, whenever we encounter someone for the first time, we should treat everyone with love and respect...
